BetterJoy

BetterJoy is a small free and open-source software that will allow you to use any Nintendo Switch controller, either the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, the Joycons or the Switch SNES Controller, with the vast majority of Wii, WiiU and Nintendo Switch emulators, including Cemu, Dolphin, Citra or Yuzu, to name a few. You can even remap special buttons, such as SL, SR, or Capture, to any other key on your keyboard.

Very easy to use

To start using BetterJoy, you must unzip the compressed file in a folder and double-click on the .exe file. This way, you can open the program instantly without needing to install it. If the controller is wired and you already have it connected to the PC, you usually don't have to do anything else: the app will automatically recognize it without any problems. If the controller needs to be connected via Bluetooth, all you need to do is press the sync button for five seconds, sync it from your PC's Bluetooth options, and that's it. In both cases, it is very simple.

Map the special buttons how you want

Once you have connected a controller to your PC using BetterJoy, you can map the special buttons to any key on your keyboard. This way, if you find it more convenient to have the Capture, Home, or the SR and SL buttons on the PC keyboard, you can change them easily. You can even map the controller's gyroscope to a button so that instead of shaking it, you only need to press a key. This way, you can customize your experience to the max while playing in the emulator.
